Maintain Oral Hygiene
You must maintain your oral hygiene, especially since it isn’t ideal for visiting the dentist during COVID-10. Make sure you are brushing your teeth at least twice a day regularly. Brush your teeth for at least 2 to 3 minutes, ensuring that you spend adequate time to clean the surfaces of your teeth and gums.
Floss Regularly
Although flossing is part of an excellent oral hygiene regime, it is often overlooked. It is the traditional way of cleaning between your teeth. Yet, most people either feel that they don’t need to floss because they brush regularly and are unable to get into the habit of flossing. However, forgetting to floss can leave about one-third of the surface of your tooth unclean. This can significantly increase your risk of gum disease and tooth decay. Hence, it is important to floss at least once a day, preferably before going to bed.
Regularly Replace Your Toothbrush
A lot of people forget to replace their toothbrushes regularly. However, it is necessary to replace it every 2 to 3 months to effectively clean your mouth. If you notice that the toothbrush is starting to look worn, change it immediately. Older, worn-out toothbrushes become less effective, increasing the risk of dental issues such as tooth decay.
